spring has finally landed in calgary... sort of. But its time to rock out the dresses, heels, bright and pastel colors and my current fave ankle pants (what better way to show off your favorite shoes)



So lent is over ...

Can't wait to break all of these in =). Lent is over and spring is somewhat here in Calgary. So time to purge the closet and update/replenish a few things.

so is anyone else impatiently waiting for the new apple product to arrive?
You know since owning an itouch and now iphone what can one possibly do with the ipad? I honestly don't know but I'm newly addicted to all things apple. Besides the ipad will just have to do until I get my hands on the new macbook pro, rumored to come either summer or fall.

So after doing some "serious" research on the new product I’ve learned that instead of calling it the anticipated ipad 3 or ipad HD its just going to be simply the new ipad. At first I was thinking great its not going to be much of a difference to the ipad 2 so whats the point? But after reading more reviews the reason is because it just makes everything simpler. Which is true it does take the stress off always wanting the latest revision because lets face it they come out with a new thing every year and unless you have unlimited pockets, who really has the dough to spend that much yearly. Besides don’t you want to take that 7 bills you would use to get the lastest product (which btw probably only upgraded 3 or 4 things than the original you have) plus all the covers and add ons and use it on, oh I don’t know SHOES?! But maybe that’s just me.

winter is getting old

with daylight savings in effect who else isn't already thinking about hot weather. Ive already started on my spring wardrobe which is sad because when you see things in your closet that you can't wear in a month or so it gets depressing. But in the mean time Ive made a list of things I'm looking forward to purchasing (well after lent of course) 

1. burberry trench coat ( I actually wasn't even thinking about buying this until one of my old coworkers that now works at burberry tempted me by saying I can use his discount.... interesting)
2. pastel colored jeans/jeggings
3. Marc Jacobs purse ( still don't know which one I want yet) in nude
4. long pleated skirts
5. the new ipad
6. nude louboutins ? hmm maybe ;)

Ive already told my bffs that we're going on a big shopping trip after this whole lent thing is over. Theres only so much a girl can hold off from spending

• life has been hectic lately. Just moved in to our new condo, which i couldn't be any more proud. So once that settles i will be MIA until next week
• i gave up shopping for lent AGAIN :s although this will probably be easier since my main focus is furnishing our new home. And ill definitely reward myself when its done maybe a Chanel ? or a Mac book pro and a Marc? who knows hahah
• anyone else into colored jeans? I AM!

• Morning spent going to color me mine where we painted some of chelseas baby shower gifts and a brush holder for my vanity. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a week
• Went to holt right after. Unfortunately they didn't have my Marc Jacobs quilted Irving purse that I saw online. =(  but bff got her scarf shes been obsessing about for a while. Ahhh the power of persuasion
• Crab dinner at Giselles. YUM! I forgot what it was like to be around a filipino family where they are constantly feeding you  I LOVE IT
• PARTTAYY at Vbar. Saw some familiar faces, you girls are hilarious

From my recent post you probably know what is inside this box. I finally got new attachments, can't wait to wear this out. When I told my dad that you could change the look of the watch, he reminded me that the first watch I owned was a pink barbie one and the faces were also exchangeable. I remember changing it from pink to purple to silver (mostly it just stayed pink) and now I have my own grown up version. =)

Life on iPhone: where did my life go

• if you notice the picture is a little off. Its because I took a 360 view of the whole room to show my mom, who hasn't even been inside our new house yet, and it stitched it weird I guess. (That was probably irrelevant to you but it bothered me because I'm weird like that)
• Just like our room, my life is cluttered with so many things, scattered everywhere with no organization whatsoever. I just finished unpacking the new office and I haven't even dented our stuff back at home, our snowboarding trip, Chelsea's baby shower, STILL buying stuff for the house and don't even get me started on an engagement party/wedding planning. I seriously need a it guy to do everything for me. Where can I find one of those?
• I'm actually seriously thinking about going to LA this summer. I missed that place so much we used to go every summer since Jr high until we found Mexico. But I really do miss shopping and I cant wait to see my family again.
• oh ya and Ive switched to an iphone. Is it weird that I talk to people a lot less but I'm on my phone a lot more?

He definitely surprised me this year. Since He spent so much on my xmas gift and the fact that we just bought most of our house stuff, I told him that he didn't have to buy me anything special for my bday. Every time he asked I honestly told him I didn't care (besides the only thing I truly wanted was that Chanel classic jumbo with gold hardware but with a price tag of 5g .... yea i don't think so.. well right now anyways ;) ) but he was determined to really surprise me. And boy did he ever ...

The big two five

I remember a few years back I cringed at the thought of turning 25 because it just meant I was close to 30 and being 30 was the final end of my youth. But now I'm actually excited. With new things happening this year, the office move, house move and now planning a wedding?! I like where I'm at. So what if I'm getting old. Getting old now just means that I'm getting closer and closer to finding out the real me.

makeup haul

Ive always been a loyal customer to bare minerals and I always will be. But with the dry climate in Calgary and the harsh winter air, using a powder foundation wasn't doing any good for my face. So until this winter comes to pass I decided to try something different.

I went into Sephora (which I've been obsessed with lately) looking for a more moisturizing foundation. Since I can honestly say I know nothing about makeup outside of Clinque and bare minerals I had to ask for some assistance, she suggested a few things for my skin type and along the way I decided to get things I've been eyeing for a while

Lip butter: Revlon

I heard about these on Youtube and since I really do have dry lips I decided to try it and as you can see I LOVE THEM.

when you have someone that can cook or enjoy the same fattening food as much as you do, that says you're cute when you're in sweats with crumbs everywhere, hugs you when he knows you're close to breaking down, loves you when hes seen you at your worst, knows you better than you know yourself and as cliche as this sounds makes you WANT to be a better person. YOU NEVER LET HIM GO.

I couldn't believe that its already been 6 years since we had that long conversation about life on NYE 2006. What was more surprising was when he proposed. I couldn't explain how happy I was/am to have someone officially by my side to face the world with. Which is probably why that night mostly tears came out rather than words hahaha.
